Valspar Corporation has appointed William Mansfield, current president and chief executive, the added position of chairman. Mansfield succeeds Thomas McBurney who was the chairman for the past two years. He will remain chair of the board’s governance committee and lead director. Mansfield, who joined the company in 1984, has served as president and chief executive of Valspar since Feb. 2005.
